Carter's Review
This attractive, 6-story building was erected in 1958 and converted to a cooperative in 1983. It has 48 apartments.
The red-brick. mid-block building has a canopied, two-step-down entrance with sidewalk landscaping, a doorman, a nice, two-step-down lobby and fire escapes. It is across from the large playground behind the landmarked façade of the demolished Squadron A Armory on Madison Avenue. It has no garage, no health club and no roof deck.
This is very good Carnegie Hill neighborhood location that is close to several private schools, numerous religious and cultural institutions. There is good local shopping and a subway station at 96th Street and Lexington Avenue. There is good cross-town bus service on 96th Street and Central Park is only a block-and-a-half away.
