Carter's Review
This red-brick, mid-block, apartment building has a three-story limestone base with a canopied entrance with a revolving door. It was erected in 1925 and converted to a cooperative in 1983.
The 17-story, mid-block building has 165 apartments.
It has a concierge and a nice marble lobby, but no balconies, no sidewalk landscaping, no health club and no garage. It has a three-story, rusticated limestone base and its top three stories are also faced with limestone.
It has an excellent, central Upper West Side location and is half a block from Central Park and a subway station on Central Park West. It is also close to many restaurants and boutiques on Columbus Avenue and not far from the Lincoln Center District a few blocks to the south.
The Central Park West frontage on this street is anchored by the twin-towered Majestic apartment building on the south and the Dakota on the north, two of the city's more important residential landmarks.
