Carter's Review
This handsome, 6-story, mid-block building was erected in 1946 and is a cooperative with 54 apartments.
The red-brick building has a doorman and sidewalk landscaping and protruding air-conditioners. It has fire escapes and no garage and no health club.
This building has a very good Upper East Side location. There is a fine Art Deco-style apartment building on the northeast corner at 78th Street and Lexington Avenue and this block has some attractive townhouses. This building is convenient to many restaurants and good neighborhood shopping.
There are numerous cultural and religious institutions in the area and there is good cross-town bus service on 79th Street. There is a local subway station at 77th Street and Lexington Avenue where Lenox Hill Hospital is also located.
