Carter's Review
This attractive, red-brick, mid-block apartment building at 114 West 70th Street was erected in 1922 and has 36 co-operative apartments.
It has a canopied entrance and a two-story limestone base with three two-story pilasters.
It has a roof deck and multi-paned windows and permits protruding window air-conditioners. It also has windowed kitchens and windowed bathrooms. It has storage and laundry facilities and has a live-in superintendent. It is pet-friendly.
It is just to the west of the very ornate, 11-story Walton apartment house at 104 West 70th Street that is distinguished by its large, indented bay windows and the 5th and 6th floors and a very ornate two-and-half story entrance surround.
Although the Walton is missing its cornice, this building has a nice small one.
It is only a few blocks north of the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts and it is close to the handsome 72nd Street subway station.
It has no doorman and no fitness center.
