From October 6-14, 2024, approximately 250 condos, co-ops, condops, and townhouses throughout New York City experienced price reductions. These included six two- and three-bedroom units at 505 W 43, a new development condominium just off Tenth Avenue. To further sweeten the deal, the building is now offering two years of common charges and two years of real estate tax credits on all remaining inventory. Contracts must be signed by the end of 2024.

Elsewhere in Midtown West, the Platinum penthouse of Tony Award-winning Broadway producer Paul Boskind has reached a new low price. Mr. Boskind bought the triplex penthouse from the building's developer for $5.9 million in 2009, and it has been on and off the market at varying price points since it was initially listed for $19 million in 2014. Most recently, it has come up for auction with a Reserve Price of $7,000,000. Buyers have until November 20 to place their bids.
Further uptown, the price was reduced on 211 East 62nd Street, the Upper East Side townhouse where former First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt spent the last years of her life. She spent her time in the house writing "My Day," her syndicated newspaper column, and entertaining dignitaries like John Kennedy, Adlai Stevenson, and Indira Gandhi. In more recent times, the townhouse has undergone a renovation by Maria Masi and been listed for $11.95 million in August 2023. It has been on and off the market at varying price points since then, and the most recent reduction brings it down to $10,456,000.
