Great Value: Renovated homes in Donald Trump-built properties with reduced prices

According to YCityRealty data, the price per square foot of condominiums in the seven Manhattan condo buildings that still carry the Trump name has dropped 23 percent between 2013 and 2023. Condominium buildings emblazoned with the Trump name have underperformed in respect to the Manhattan condo market overall.

In a New York Times article published last week, Columbia University economist Stijn Van Nieuwerburgh notes that in a one-year window, condos in buildings that had the Trump logo went from selling at a one percent premium compared with similar units to selling for four percent less, meaning that Trump condos became a “bargain” among the city’s luxury units. By contrast, condominiums in four buildings where the Trump logo was removed at the behest of residents — sometimes after a legal battle — have seen their value shoot back up.

With condo unit values in Trump-developed properties depressed, some selling for prices unseen in a decade, we've compiled two dozen active listings in eleven Trump properties that have seen price reductions. These renovated homes, often found in Manhattan's premier locations, are a relative 'steal' when compared to similar properties nearby unassociated with Trump.
