From January 18-24, 2023, a total of 302 sales listings experienced price reductions. Among them was a three-bedroom home in Sutton Place owned by Marilyn Monroe and Arthur Miller during their five-year marriage. The Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright reportedly wrote The Misfits, his then-wife's last completed film, while living there. However, this rich history does not appear to have swayed buyers: When the New York Post announced its return to the market in November 2022, it noted that its asking price of $3.05 million was a reduction from the original ask of $3.75 million when it was initially listed in May 2022. Its most recent price cut brings it down to $2,995,000, or 20.1% below the original ask.
