Just 291 apartment and townhouse listings had their asking prices reduced last week, the lowest number we've tallied in more than a year. As the possibility of a seller's market looms — given the strong sales and contract-signing volume — discounts have grown shallower, and homes that may have been intentionally overpriced initially, have returned to the market at more realistic price points.
As Manhattan's median sales prices remain the lowest they've been since 2014, and as inventory begins to inch upward as sidelined sellers are recognizing a more favorable market, there are still plenty of deals to be had, especially for smaller units and those within beleaguered business districts. Find below a table of all the price improvements that took place over the course of the last week.
