The coolest listings near New York's most iconic ice rinks

New York has had some fairly mild weather as 2022 draws to a close (remember those 70-degree days at the beginning of November?), but ice skating rinks throughout Manhattan and Brooklyn opened in mid- to late November nevertheless. People come from all over the city, and the world in some cases, to skate at these iconic rinks. Wollman Rink

In recent years, some might have stayed away from Wollman Rink in Central Park owing to the fact that the Trump Organization was running it. However, the city canceled the contract following the events of January 6, 2021. Since then, a joint venture between Harris Blitzer Sports & Entertainment (owner of the New Jersey Devils), Related, and Equinox has taken over operations and spruced up the rink. They have also welcomed Harlem institution Melba’s to The Overlook above the rink and partnered with Nordstrom for special events and offerings.
