For the week ending December 30, 2022, a total of $401,392,658 worth of transactions was recorded across 205 condo, co-op, and condop sales throughout Manhattan. Leading the charge was Residence #5, a full-floor, four-bedroom home at the uber-exclusive cooperative 944 Fifth Avenue that sold for $18,000,000. It has been on and off the market since October 2021, when owner Robert Mnuchin (art dealer and father of the former Treasury Secretary) listed it for $25 million. The apartment entered contract with a $20 million ask in April 2022, but the sale fell through and it went back on the market at a reduced price. Mr. Mnuchin is taking a loss on the apartment, having paid $20 million for it in January 2008. The Real Deal identified the buyer as RFR Realty principal Michael Fuchs.
The top condo sale and second-highest overall was actor/producer Ben Stiller's condo at celebrity favorite 150 Charles Street, which sold for $14,500,000 shortly after it entered contract in October 2022. When The Wall Street Journal announced the contract, it noted that Mr. Stiller had paid $15.3 million for the apartment in 2016. The buyer was not identified and conducted the transaction through a trust.

Public records identify the seller as his widow, artist/philanthropist Deirdre Coleman Imus, and the buyer as Sessa Capital founder John Petry. Located at The Chatham Court, a Rosario Candela-designed cooperative, the apartment has three bedrooms, two and a half baths, and an enormous wraparound terrace with panoramic views of Central Park and the Midtown skyline.
