Carter’s Review

"This pleasant, 13-story, red-brick, mid-block building was erected in 1960. It is a cooperative and has 142 apartments.

It is just to the east of the Vong Restaurant in the base of the "lipstick" skyscraper at 885 Third Avenue and it is across from some of the loading docks of the post office in the base of the skyscraper at 909 Third Avenue. This location is very convenient to east midtown and there is a subway station nearby in Citicorp Center on Lexington Avenue and 53rd Street and good cross-town bus service on 57th Street."

Sales History

Price/Room (Est)

Why are we displaying the estimated price per room?

For some co-ops, instead of price per square foot, we use an estimate of the number of rooms for each sold apartment to chart price changes over time. This is because many co-op listings do not include square footage information, and this makes it challenging to calculate accurate square-foot averages.

By displaying the price per estimated room count, we are able to provide a more reliable and consistent metric for comparing sales in the building. While we hope that this gives you a clearer sense of price trends in the building, all data should be independently verified. All data provided are only estimates and should not be used to make any purchase or sale decision.
