Carter's Review

This pleasant, 13-story, red-brick, mid-block building was erected in 1960. It is a cooperative and has 142 apartments.

The building has a three-step-up entrance, sidewalk landscaping with spiked planters, and some terraces. Its simple massing is accented with white surrounds around the center windows that give the building a nice, crisp appearance. The building has a doorman, a garage, and a roof deck, but no balconies and no health club.

It is just to the east of the Vong Restaurant in the base of the "lipstick" skyscraper at 885 Third Avenue and it is across from some of the loading docks of the post office in the base of the skyscraper at 909 Third Avenue. This location is very convenient to east midtown and there is a subway station nearby in Citicorp Center on Lexington Avenue and 53rd Street and good cross-town bus service on 57th Street.
