Carter's Review
This attractive, 7-story, apartment building at 298 Mulberry Street was erected in 1986 on the northeast corner at East Houston Street diagonally across from the great third-story, gilded statue of Puck on the Puck Building.
It was acquired in 2015 by Broad Street Development, which is headed by Raymond Chalme and Daniel M. Blanco, and Crow Holdings, a national real estate investment fund, along with 304 Mulberry Street, which occupies the north end of the street.
The building has 96 rental apartments.
After its purchase, Broad Street Development announced it intended to demolish the beige-brick 304 Mulberry Street on the southeast corner of Bleecker Street and replace it with a 15-story residential building that would be partially cantilevered over 298 Mulberry Street.
Broad Street’s other residential properties include 215 Sullivan Street and 184 Thompson Street. It also owns the office building at 80 Broad Street.
