135 East 71st Street: Review and Ratings

between Park Avenue & Lexington Avenue View Full Building Profile

Carter Horsley
Review of 135 East 71st Street by Carter Horsley

This attractive, 17-story, beige-brick apartment house has a central Upper East Side location that is convenient to excellent local shopping and many restaurants and is close to many of the city's best boutiques, art galleries, clubs and museums.

It was erected in 1959 and is a cooperative with 101 units.

The building has a one-story polished red granite base, a doorman, some terraces, nice sidewalk landscaping, discrete air-conditioners and a garage. It is located on a very nice, quiet street.

There is good cross-town bus service on 72nd Street and there is a subway station at 67th Street and Lexington Avenue.
