It was designed by C. P. H. Gilbert, whose was the architect of numerous notable Manhattan mansions including the former Otto Kahn mansion at 1 East 91st Street, the former Felix M. Warburg House at 1 East 92nd Street, the former Morton F. Plant house at 2 West 52nd Street and the former Harry F. Sinclair mansion at 2 East 79th Street. "
