Carter's Review
This handsome, 7-story, mid-block, apartment building at 272 West 86th Street between Broadway and West End Avenue was erected in 1885 and has only 7 condominium units.
It was designed by C. P. H. Gilbert, whose was the architect of numerous notable Manhattan mansions including the former Otto Kahn mansion at 1 East 91st Street, the former Felix M. Warburg House at 1 East 92nd Street, the former Morton F. Plant house at 2 West 52nd Street and the former Harry F. Sinclair mansion at 2 East 79th Street.
Barry Rice was the architect for the 2017 conversion to condominiums by East River Partners LLC.
There is excellent public transportation and a supermarket is across the street.
