Overview of The Julliard Building at 18 Leonard Street

Named in honor of the benefactor of the world-famous conservatory, the Juilliard Building is located at 18 Leonard Street, on a cobble-stoned street in the Tribeca West Historic District. The 19th-century façade was beautifully restored, and features distinctive red brick, large black shutters, and oversized loft windows. The pet-friendly building is staffed by a 24-hour doorman and live-in superintendent, and modern amenities include a fitness room, children's playroom, package room, and bike room.

Carter’s Review

"This handsome group of five loft buildings at 18 Leonard Street between Hudson Street and West Broadway in TriBeCa was expanded and converted to condominium apartments in 2000 by 1422 LLC.

The buildings, some of which date to 1881, had been used for storage and light manufacturing but had suffered from age and neglect."
