Overview of 407 East 91st Street

407 East 91st Street was built as a piano factory in 1901 and converted to a 38-unit cooperative in 1980. It is an intimate prewar building with an elevator, live-in super, central laundry room, package room, parking garage across the street, and pet-friendly policy. It is situated between First and York Avenues in a prime Upper East Side location near Carl Schurz Park, Asphalt Green, Gracie Mansion, and the Vinegar Factory as well as great restaurants, shopping, schools, the crosstown bus, and the Second Avenue subway.

Carter’s Review

"This handsome, mid-block, red-brick, 5-story building is a cooperative with 36 apartments.

It is close to the Asphalt Green, Gracie Mansion and Carl Schurz Park and some leading private schools. While this is a relatively quiet neighborhood, there is good shopping and numerous restaurants not far away to the west. There is good cross-town bus service on 86th and 96th Streets, but this location is not convenient to subways."
