Price Cuts: Rustic West Village duplex with fireplace and garden now 20% off; Lantern House penthouse shaves $2.355M off ask

By this point in the calendar year, some buyers might be pulling back on their search amidst the start of school and the forthcoming holidays. However, sellers still need to move their properties, and some may be willing to adjust the prices to make that happen.

It is against this backdrop that approximately 275 condos, co-ops, condops, and townhouses throughout New York experienced price reductions from October 1-7, 2024. Among them was Penthouse #1015 at Lantern House, a condo overlooking the High Line and notable for its take on bay windows. The building is inching closer to sellout, but new, eye-catching developments like One High Line have risen to steal its thunder. It was initially listed for $9.75 million, but the latest price reduction brings it down to $7,395,000.
