Carter’s Review

"This very attractive, 21-story, gray-brick building was erected by Cohen Brothers Realty & Construction in 1963 and is a cooperative with 96 units. The same developer erected the 21-story apartment building across the street at 174 East 74th Street in 1960.

There are numerous elegant restaurants in the area and excellent local shopping nearby on Third Avenue. This building is across the avenue from J. G. Melon's, a restaurant noted for its excellent burgers. There is a subway station at Lexington Avenue and 77th Street where Lenox Hill Hospital is also located and there is good cross-town bus service on 72nd Street."
