Overview of 50 East 10th Street

40-50 East 10th Street is a nine-story, 11-unit cooperative built in 1929. Today it finds itself on one of the most desirable tree-lined streets in New York's Greenwich Village. The cooperative offers a full time doorman, live-in superintendent, laundry room, fitness room, childrens' playroom, storage room and bike room (subject to availability). On the roof owners enjoy one of the most beautifully landscaped roof gardens in the Village in addition to a landscaped garden at lobby level behind the building.

Pets are most welcome. The lobby and hallways have been beautifully renovated. Located on East 10th Street between University Place and Broadway this building enjoys access to local transportation, some of the city's best restaurants, gallery shopping, and Washington Square Park.

Carter’s Review

"Well located on the east side of Greenwich Village, this handsome, 10-story building was erected in 1929 and converted to a cooperative apartment building in 1982. It has 107 units.

This area of the Village is a very interesting mix of superb early commercial buildings, some fine pre-war apartment buildings, some large post-war apartment buildings, a bowling alley, and the exquisite Grace Episcopal Church nearby."

Price/Room (Est)

Why are we displaying the estimated price per room?

For some co-ops, instead of price per square foot, we use an estimate of the number of rooms for each sold apartment to chart price changes over time. This is because many co-op listings do not include square footage information, and this makes it challenging to calculate accurate square-foot averages.

By displaying the price per estimated room count, we are able to provide a more reliable and consistent metric for comparing sales in the building. While we hope that this gives you a clearer sense of price trends in the building, all data should be independently verified. All data provided are only estimates and should not be used to make any purchase or sale decision.
