From July 16-22, 2024, approximately 200 condos, co-ops, condops, and townhouses throughout New York City experienced price reductions. Among them were four sponsor units at One United Nations Park, a new development condo that makes a bold statement on the East River waterfront with its black glass facade. All interiors boast light and airy palettes, top-of-the-line appliances in the kitchens, and high-end fixtures in the baths, not to mention a built-in Crestron smart home system that allows residents to control their apartment's lighting, temperature, and window shades through an app. The building is 80% sold, and the sponsor has reduced prices on some remaining high-floor availabilities.
Up the street, boutique condominium Minuet is of decidedly smaller scale, but with no less attention to detail. There are no more than three units per floor, and all apartments feature high ceilings, floor-to-ceiling windows, custom kitchens, and private outdoor space. But sales have been slow, and the sponsor has reduced prices on four units, including the penthouse.

Also of note last week, model Irina Shayk reduced the price of her West Village apartment with airy interiors and state-of-the-art technology. She listed it for $4.2 million in June 2024, but reduced it to $3,995,000 just over a month later. However, she still stands to make a profit -- public records show that she paid $1,962,500 for it in September 2010.
