Brooklyn Kitchen Labs: Cooking Large
NOVEMBER 13, 2009
A vast warehouse is stocked and ready to give the city's food lovers a chance to get their aprons dirty.
The Brooklyn Kitchen Labs
Beginning on Monday, November 16, The Brooklyn Kitchen Labs will open its doors on a space as vast as the desire of its founders to bring cooking skills to "anyone who likes food and cooking." The mission of the Labs–expanding on the success of the Brooklyn Kitchen's sellout classes like Knife Sharpening and Thanksgiving Sides–is to encourage food lovers to experiment and learn about cooking, a la carte style: Take one class or 10; be a beginner or a seasoned professional looking to hone your skills. Classes, workshops and events will be taught by local food talent in a 7000 square foot former warehouse with two full teaching kitchens outfitted with state of the art home appliances.
The Brooklyn Kitchen Labs
Opens Monday, November 16
100 Frost Street, Brooklyn
Classes are about $40-$75 each
