Feeling a Little Green?
MARCH 17, 2009
Love the green but don't want to drink it or wear it?
It's Saint Paddy's Day: Unless you're celebrating the holiday yourself, you'll probably want to avoid any place that serves green beer, because you'll only end up feeling a little…well, you know. Love the color but not the sloshing crowds? Here are some alternatives:
Spend some time on the green at the Chelsea Piers Golf Club.
Find out about a few small steps New Yorkers can take to keep the city green.
Visit your local Greenmarket and get fresh for dinner.
Take a shopping–window or otherwise–stroll on Greene Street in Soho.
Covet your favorite emerald-cut.
If you've still got your Irish up, better get in line at McSorleys now.
