New Developments in the News

SEPTEMBER 21, 2009

Big spaces with big price tags are still on the move in downtown Manhattan.

Alan Gordon has begun marketing his three-unit condominium in the landmark building at 330 Bowery and Bond Street in NoHo. The ornate cast-iron building–former home of the Bouwerie Lane Theater–was acquired by Gordon for $15 million in 2007. Plans for the new residences include two full-floor condos and a triplex penthouse, as well as ground-floor retail space. The building shares a Bond Street address with notable neighbors at numbers 25, 40, and 48.

Further uptown, the former home of the Lord & Taylor Dry Goods store–before it moved to its current spot at Fifth Avenue and 38th Street–has changed hands. The landmarked building was reportedly bought by a Spanish investor in an all cash transaction. The ground floor is currently occupied by fashion retailer Miss Sixty, and the building's top floor has remained vacant since previous owners bought out two rent-stabilized tenants.
