Vacation homes are hot and two homes on CPW could be yours for the price of…two homes on CPW.
Vacation home sales rose 7.9% last year, according to the people whose business it is to sell them. A recent report by the National Association of Realtors indicated the rise from the previous year as well as a few additional findings: Half the vacation homes purchased during that time were bought in the South; the typical buyer was about 46 years old with a median household income of $87,500; three-fourths of vacation home buyers were married couples.
Two adjacent Central Park West apartments are on the market for $55 million for the pair. Their current owner, who lives in Florida, had considered combining the two units—one of which is being rented by New York Yankees third baseman Alex Rodriguez—but would now rather get the pair off his hands for the right price.
