Tom Cruise lists a downtown condo; A-Rod views an uptown pad; Tatum O’Neal’s Forward Building home sells; Marc Jacobs seeks a tenant for his Mercer Street spread; Joe Jonas hits an open house at the Urban Glass House.
Tom Cruise recently put his apartment in the American Felt Building at 114 East 13th Street up for sale for $3 million. The actor has held onto the 2,200-square-foot NYC pied-a-terre since 1985. The 10th floor condo–which Cruise shared with wives Mimi Rogers, Nicole Kidman and Katie Holmes, as well as various girlfriends–has two bedrooms and a fitness room. Celebrity neighbors in the East Village building have included writer Bret Easton Ellis, Strokes drummer Fabrizio Moretti and comedienne Kristen Wiig (TRD).
Yankee A-Rod has been a-hunting again, this time with sights possibly set on a 16th-floor rental at 15 Central Park West going for $19,000 a month (CurbedNY).
Actress and Hollywood insider Tatum O’Neal has finally sold her condo in the landmarked Lower East Side Forward Building (former home of the Jewish Daily Forward newspaper) at 175 East Broadway. The two-bedroom apartment, which she originally listed for $1.495 million in 2011, sold for $1.72 million. The mezzanine-level unit features a rare domed ceiling–once part of the building’s lobby–and an elevator with direct access to the street (TRD).
A 2,476-square-foot, three-bedroom condo at 40 Mercer Street belonging to designer Marc Jacobs is on the rental market starting March 1 for $37,500 per month. The new tenant in the Jean Nouvel-designed SoHo building will enjoy a private wing, custom closets and amenities like a garage, a pool, a spa and a gym (NYPost).
Pop heartbreaker Joe Jonas and girlfriend/ex-model Blanda Eggenschwiler were recently spotted at an open house for a $2.6 million condo at the Philip Johnson-designed Urban Glass House at 330 Spring Street. The 1,700-square foot, two-bedroom condo features Annabelle Selldorf-designed interiors and, of course, floor-to-ceiling glass (NYPost).
