Chloe Sevigny acquires a grown-up Slope co-op; A daytime star sells on Central Park West; Lord of the Rings director splits up a penthouse pair to sell; a full floor at 40 Bond changes hands for $23 mil.
Recently confirmed (this time with pics): the new BK digs of (former) East Village it girl Chloe Sevigny. The TV and indie flick star recently spent $2.05 million for a 2,100-square-foot three-bedroom co-op at the decidedly elegant 9 Prospect Park West in Park Slope. Chloe’s new home offers park views, a private elevator landing, a chef’s kitchen and plenty of elegant pre-war details. The building is also home to U.S. Senator Chuck Schumer (NYO).
Lord of the Rings director Peter Jackson has been seeking a buyer for two condo units at 155 Franklin Street in TriBeCa since May of this year; Jackson, who bought the units in 2008, first listed the pair at $21.5 million and has since reduced the price to $19.95 million. Still finding no takers, Jackson recently adopted a divide-and-conquer strategy, listing the apartments separately, one (a 5,869-square-foot five-bedroom penthouse) for $14.85 million and the other (a 2,440-square-foot three-bed unit) for $5.1 million. The penthouses also offer 4,000 feet of combined terrace space and impressive loft details like high beamed ceilings plus modern upgrades and state-of-the-art kitchen appliances and finishes (CurbedNY).
The estate of George Gund III, late owner of the NHL’s San Jose Sharks and NBA’s Cleveland Cavaliers, has put Gund’s two-bedroom penthouse at 1120 Fifth Avenue on the market for $6.25 million. The 15-story Upper Fifth Avenue co-op building is also home to actors Michael J. Fox and Tracy Pollan (NYPost).
Six-time Daytime Emmy-winner Erika Slezak (One Life to Live) is selling her apartment at 50 West 67th Street in the historic Musician’s Building (part of a group of buildings in the West 67th Street Artists’ Colony Historic District, where a number of residences were built for artists in the early 20th century). The two-bedroom pre-war co-op, which has a wood-burning fireplace and built-in bookshelves, is on the market for $1.82 million (NYPost).

A full-floor condo at hotelier/developer Ian Schrager’s 40 Bond in NoHo (pictured) recently sold for $23 million. The entire eighth floor of the green glass neighborhood-defining residence, owned by energy magnate William Krieger since he purchased it as a sponsor unit for $17.9 million in 2007, is comprised of 12 rooms in 5,364 square feet. The four-bedroom apartment features interiors by David Mann, floor-to-ceiling windows, wide plank floors, northern and southern exposures and 11-foot-high ceilings. A landscape architect-designed 20-foot-deep, 140-foot-long south-facing terrace can be accessed from all principal rooms. A master suite with a windowed dressing room and his-and-hers offices overlooks the terrace (CurbedNY).
