Bite-sized Tarts Meet Bite-sized Clientele
Two of life's ultimate pleasures, shopping and sweets are having a sordid affair in Soho these days. A new eatery, Tisserie, has snuggly established itself in the Soho DKNY store (where a tea salon previously occupied the space), doling out miniature versions of their much-loved menu. On tap are French and Argentinean influenced selections like pint-sized croissants, pain au chocolats and dulce de leche tartletts and cookies as well as lunch options including veggies, salads, meats and cheeses (Breakfast goodies and soups are on their way).

The slimmed down menu suits the neighborhood and patrons of the store, a key element to success that Tisserie owner Ronald Harrar knows well. Neighborhood residents have even taken to the cafe, adding the coffees and teas to their morning routines. It's almost a perfect ying and yang—with a downtown twist of course.
