New Museum Ideas City
Founded by the New Museum in 2011, Ideas City is a major initiative between hundreds of arts, education, and community organizations. This four-day event explores the future of cities around the globe with the belief that arts and culture are essential to the vitality of urban centers. Expect conferences, workshops, an innovative StreetFest around the Bowery and more more than a hundred independent projects and public events.

PEN World Voices Festival of International Literature
Once-in-a-lifetime opportunities at this annual literary fest include a workshop led by lit-wit Fran Lebowitz and author A.M. Homes, a glittering gala honoring author Philip Roth, a conversation on democracy and freedom of expression with Salman Rushdie, plus countless readings, workshops and other events featuring the most celebrated literary names of our time.

Lucky Rice Festival
The annual Lucky Rice event celebrates Asian culinary culture through festivals and tastings, working with hundreds of chefs and mixologists as well as corporate and culinary partners to spotlight the diverse worlds of Asian culinary culture from home as well as abroad. A highlight: Night Market, this year being held in chic cabanas in the Maritime Hotel where ten participating eateries will offer traditional and interpretive Asian street grub tastings.
