Hester Street Fair
Kick off street fair season with the first day of this classic Lower East Side celebration.
Housed on the historic grounds of New York City’s largest pushcart market at the turn of the century, the Hester Street fair pays homage to those roots by bringing together a collection of NYC’s best vendors in a bustling outdoor marketplace featuring artisanal food, vintage clothing, jewelry, crafts, home goods and much more.

An Afternoon at the New York Marble Cemetery
Named for the marble vaults hidden beneath its grounds, the New York Marble Cemetery is one of the few surviving cemeteries in Lower Manhattan. This visit on one of their rare open days features a talk on the cemetery’s history and its place in the greater changes happening in New York City in the 19th century.
Sunday, April 28th, 12-2PM

Tickets: $12 (a portion of the proceeds goes to support the New York Marble Cemetery)

You’ll need to put on your creative New Yorker hat to score a ticket to this sold-out Met Museum party featuring uber-DJ and electronic composer Dan Deacon, but you can still lock in the official afterparty across the East River.

826 NYC Match Game Fundraiser
Creative kids’ learning organization 826NYC fundraisers and events transcend the usual fundraising fare and they’re always way more fun than an auction-and-dinner. This tongue-in-cheek version of the popular TV game show should be no exception, especially since celebrity panelists include Fred Armisen and Olivia Wilde.

Fashion Fast Forward: Japanese Art Goes Pop
