Enjoy this summer's best craft beer releases and performances by gifted jazz musicians courtesy of Blue Note jazz club.You’ll have the opportunity to try unlimited tastings of 150 craft beers from all over the country, and expert seminars will highlight key aspects of the craft beer industry.

A Midsummer’s Night at Union Square Greenmarket
To celebrate the market’s 37th year, Union Square’s Greenmarket is throwing a special evening event offering the usual Wednesday Greenmarket farm fresh produce, meats, and cheeses as well as a curated roster of restaurants serving prepared foods. There will also be programming for families, live music and a Brooklyn Beer Bar featuring Brooklyn Greenmarket Wheat.

Mayoral Candidate Forum on the Future of Food in New York City
In this NYC election year, food is an important topic. Several of the city's leading food systems and anti-hunger organizations including Brooklyn Food Coalition, City Harvest and Food Bank For New York City are convening this mayoral candidate forum on the future of food in New York City. The forum will offer our region's food communities the opportunity to engage mayoral candidates and learn their positions on food issues.

Tribute to George Carlin and Benefit for George Carlin Way
A group of dedicated George Carlin fans has been working tirelessly to petition the city to name the street he grew up on in his honor. The committee to co-name West 121st street George Carlin way is only a "yeah" vote away from declaring victory. Gotham Comedy Club has generously offered their venue and gathered an all-star lineup to pay tribute to Mr. Carlin and to raise funds to help cover the costs of this effort so far.

Learn to Surf at Urban Girl Squad Beach Day
This networking group for women in their ‘20s and ‘30s offers a chance to learn to surf without using up any vacation time. This all-day beach adventure includes lessons on how to catch a wave and plenty of time to practice before relaxing at the beach and indulging in a little sunbathing and socializing.
