Other Music DJ Series at the Ace Hotel
For the month of April, trendsetting record store Other Music will be taking over the turntables in the chic-yet-chill lobby of the Ace Hotel New York featuring two DJs each Wednesday night from 8 to midnight. Kicking off the series on April 6th, Gerald Hammill and Duane Harriott are packing their record bags full of ‘70s and ‘80s disco obscurities and all other things leftfield and funky.

The New Museum Spring Gala Afterparty
The big shindig is invite-only, but the afterparty is where it’s at. Top-shelf mixologists from Death & Co. will be providing the cocktails, and DJs, art stars and downtown design types will be providing the eye candy.

Central Park Bird Walks
The Museum of Natural History keeps city folk connected with nature with this rare glimpse at the vibrant spring migration of birds in Central Park with naturalist Stephen C. Quinn. Learn how to use field marks, habitat, behavior, and song as aids in identification. Birder field cards included. Walks are held monthly and start across from the Museum on the northeast corner of Central Park West and 77th Street.

Annual 826NYC Scrabble for Cheaters Tournament
This nonprofit creative writing and education organization for kids is known for coming up with brainy, goofy and totally fun fundraising events and this gloriously flawed scrabble tournament is no exception. Find out more and compete for the cheaters’ cup!

Japan Society 12 Hour Concert and Benefit for Japan
In addition to music acts by dozens of artists, this 12-hour concert and open house extravaganza, offers special activities for all ages, from Origami and Washi Lantern Installation workshops to language classes, workshops, Kamishibai storytelling and more. 100% of proceeds from this event will go to the Japan Earthquake Relief Fund.
